Translation of colour epithets in Georg Trakl's poetry

Abstract

Магистерская диссертация посвящена проблеме перевода на русский язык цветовых эпитетов в поэтических текстах Георга Тракля. В ходе исследования рассмотрены теоретические основы понятия «эпитет», изучена цветовая составляющая в произведениях Тракля, проанализированы переводы стихотворений, выделены основные переводческие стратегии и их влияние на смыслы в произведениях. В результате исследования доказано, что в зависимости от выбранного приема при переводе цветообозначений в поэтических текстах Тракля наблюдается эквивалентная или частичная передача смыслов или происходит искажение. Также представлены авторские переводы нескольких стихотворений.

The master’s work is devoted to the problem of colour epithets translating in the poetic texts of Georg Trakl. In the course of the research, the theoretical foundations of the concept "epithet" are examined, the colour component in the works of Trakl is studied, translations of poems, basic translation strategies and their influence on meanings in poems are analyzed. As a result of the research it was proved that when translating colour designations in the poetry texts of Trakl, an equivalent or partial transfer of meanings is observed or distortion occurs. Author's translations of several poems are also presented.
