The absurd as a sense-generating model in contemporary media

Abstract

елью данной магистерской диссертации является определение места и роли абсурда в современной медиасреде. Изменения в философской интерпретации абсурда во второй половине XX века предвосхитили его нынешнюю роль в смыслопорождении. С одной стороны, децентрализация позиции истины определила релятивистский и, как следствие, изменчивый характер абсурда. С другой - определение абсурда через избыток смысла, а не через его отсутствие, открывает новые возможности для создания смыслов через абсурд. Изменения характеристик абсурда отражаются в его репрезентации в медиакультуре, во взаимодействии его с социокультурными феноменами современного мира, а также в представлении абсурда как эстетической категории.

The aim of this thesis is to define the place and the role of the absurd within contemporary media environment. Major shifts in philosophical interpretation of the absurd in late XX century have predisposed its current role in sense genesis. On the one hand, decentralization of the position of truth has determined the relativistic and, thus, chameleon nature of the absurd. On the other - definition of the absurd through the surplus of sense, rather than its lack, opens up the new opportunities for sense creation through the absurd. The changes in the characteristics of the absurd are reflected in its representation in media culture, its interaction with sociocultural phenomena of the modern world and the appearance of the absurd as an aesthetic category.
