The problem of phonetic description and phonological interpretation of the sound [š':] in Russian speech of foreigners

Abstract

Работа посвящена проблеме фонологической и фонетической интерпретации русского звука [š’:] в речи иностранцев, в частности вьетнамцев и китайцев. В ходе исследования выявлены фонетические замены русского звука [š’:] в разных фонетических позициях в речи вьетнамцев и китайцев, дана фонологическая трактовка выявленных коррелятов. Полученные результаты слухового и инструментального анализа свидетельствуют о том, что различные реализации фонемы /š’:/ при воспроизведении устного и печатного текста не зависят от фонетической позиции и типа звукосочетания. В речи испытуемых русской фонеме /š’:/ соответствовала парадигматическая единица -переднеязычный щелевой согласный /S/, что было обусловлено уровнем владения изучаемым языком, спецификой родного языка и зависело от вида речевой деятельности. При имитации cинтагматика переднеязычного щелевого /S/ такова, что в речи вьетнамцев преобладают звуки [š˙] и [š], в речи китайцев - [š˙] и [sč]. При чтении в речи вьетнамцев преобладают звуки [s’] и [š˙], в речи китайцев - [š] и [š˙], в обеих группах сочетание соответствующих консонантных кластеров было реализовано побуквенно: [zč’], [stč’], [zdč’], [šč’], [ždč’], [sč’]. Результаты исследования показывают, что реализации ошибки при чтении спровоцированы влиянием русской графики. Проявилась внутриязыковая графическая интерференция — неразличение графем ш и щ.

This work is devoted to the problem of phonological and phonetic interpretation of Russian sound [š ':] in the speech of foreigners, Vietnamese and Chinese speakers in particular. This research reveals the phonetic replacements of the Russian [š ':] sound in the different phonetic positions in the speech of Vietnamese and Chinese speakers, and gives the phonological interpretation of the revealed correlates. The results of auditory and instrumental analysis gives us the evidence that different implementations of the phoneme [š ':] in the reproduction of written and printed text does not depend on the phonetic position and the type of sound combination. In a speech of informants Russian [š ':] was corresponded with the apical fricative consonantal paradigmatical unit /S/, which was due to the level of knowledge of the studied language, the specificity of the native language and depended on the type of speech activity. When imitating the syntagm of theapical fricative / S /, is such that in the speech of the Vietnamese speakers prevail the sounds [š˙] and [š], in the speech of the Chinese - [š˙] and [sč]. When reading, the sounds [s'] and [š˙] prevail in the speach of Vietnamese speakers, in the speech of the Chinese speakers - [š] and [š˙] prevail, in both groups the combinations of related consonantal clastors were realized letter-by-letter: [zč’], [stč’], [zdč’], [šč’], [ždč’], [sč’]. The results of the research demonstrate that the errors in reading are provoked by Russian graphics. Intralinguistic graphical interference appears: it consists in the non-distinction of ш and щ graphemes.
