The course of nonspecific ulcerative colitis in different age groups

Abstract

Язвенный колит представляет серьезную социальную и медицинскую проблему, поскольку наблюдается неуклонный рост заболеваемости, а серьезные осложнения заболевания приводят к ранней инвалидизации больных. Целью настоящей работы является изучение особенностей клинического течения язвенного колита у больных различных возрастных групп. Диагноз язвенного колита устанавливался на основании оценки жалоб, данных анамнеза заболевания, клинического осмотра, результатов лабораторных и инструментальных методов, в том числе морфологическое подтверждение диагноза. Общее количество исследуемых больных составило 50, из них в исследование включены 40 пациентов, имеющих полное клиническое, лабораторное и инструментальное обследование. Проведенное исследование выявило особенности клинического течения язвенного колита, изменения лабораторных показателей, характерные эндоскопические признаки, распространенность воспалительного процесса у больных язвенным колитом различного возраста.

Ulcerative colitis is a serious social and medical problem, beacause the numbers of incidents and their serious complications which are leading to an early disability of the patients have been increasing steadily. The study was carried out to determine the features of the clinical course of ulcerative colitis for patients of different age groups. Diagnosis of ulcerative colitis was established on the evaluation of complaints, anamneses of diseases, clinical examinations, laboratory test results and instrumental methods including morphological confirmation of the diagnosis. The total number of examinees was 50 patients, the study included 40 of them, who had a complete clinical, laboratorial and instrumental examinations. The study showed the features of the clinical course of ulcerative colitis, changes of the laboratorial parameters, specific endoscopic features and the prevalence of inflammatory process in patients with ulcerative colitis of different age groups.
