Punctuation of translations of the modern story from Chinese into Russian: A case study of the collection "Forty-third page. Chinese prose of the 21st century"

Abstract

В ходе работы были решены над ВКР были решены следующие задачи: Были исследованы основы теории пунктуации как знаковой системы. Сравнивалась роль разных знаков препинания в русском и китайском текстах. Выявлялись случаи адекватных оригиналу способов оформления предложения и текста. Были выявлены случаи несовпадения границ предложений и внутрипредложенческих знаков в текстах перевода по сравнению с оригиналом и определить причины этого. На основе проведенного анализа определено, с какими трудностями может сталкиваться переводчик и каковы особенности пунктуационного оформления современной китайской художественной прозы.

In the course of the work, the following problems were solved on the VCR: The foundations of the theory of punctuation as a sign system were explored. The role of different punctuation marks in Russian and Chinese texts was compared. Cases of sentence and text formatting that were adequate to the original were identified. Cases of discrepancies between sentence boundaries and intra-sentence signs in translation texts in comparison with the original were identified and the reasons for this were determined. Based on the analysis, it was determined what difficulties a translator may encounter and what are the features of punctuation in modern Chinese fiction.
