Pashtuns in the ethnopolitical process in Afghanistan and Pakistan: comparative analysis

Работа посвящена исследованию этнополитического процесса и роли этнополитической мобилизации пуштунов в Афганистане и Пакистане. Основное внимание уделено историческому и политическому контексту становления пуштунского национализма, включая идеи Мухаммада Икбала и Мухаммада Али Джинны, а также их вклад в создание государства Пакистан. Рассматривается влияние афгано-пакистанского фронтира в политических кризисах и этнические противоречия внутри этих стран. Работа акцентирует внимание на сложных взаимоотношениях пуштунов с другими этническими группами и государственными структурами, подчеркивая их значимость в этнополитических процессах и их роль в формировании политической динамики в регионе. Исследование выявляет влияние пуштунского национализма на современную политическую ситуацию в Южной Азии и различия, возникшие в процессе раздельного проживания некогда единого пуштунского народа. Сравнительный анализ помогает определить общие и специфические черты пуштунской этнополитической мобилизации и ее последствия для региональной стабильности.

The work is devoted to the study of the ethnopolitical process and the role of the ethnopolitical mobilization of Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The main attention is paid to the historical and political context of the formation of Pashtun nationalism, including the ideas of Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as well as their contribution to the creation of the state of Pakistan. The influence of the Afghan-Pakistani frontier in political crises and ethnic contradictions within these countries is considered. The work focuses on the complex relationships of Pashtuns with other ethnic groups and government structures, emphasizing their importance in ethnopolitical processes and their role in shaping political dynamics in the region. The study reveals the influence of Pashtun nationalism on the current political situation in South Asia and the differences that arose in the process of separation of the once unified Pashtun people. Comparative analysis helps to identify common and specific features of Pashtun ethnopolitical mobilization and its implications for regional stability.
