Transformation of the ESG Strategy of Territorial Development in the Conditions of Economic Crisis (by the Example of the City of Ukhta)

Abstract

ESG-повестка с каждым годом становится все популярнее. Будущее экономики, экологии и качества жизни в стране напрямую зависит от следования государством и корпорациями ESG-принципам. Все чаще инвесторы обращают внимание на ESG-отчеты компаний при принятии инвестиционных решений. Все большее число стран и крупных корпораций отказываются от краткосрочной сверхприбыли в пользу долгосрочного устойчивого развития. В связи с чем появляется необходимость в рассмотрении реальных действий корпораций и правительства в области ESG, а также потребности населения на примере небольшого промышленного города. Экономический кризис может в серьезной степени повлиять как на деятельность компаний, так и на приоритеты граждан. В настоящей работе рассматривается реальный опыт деятельности компаний в ESG-сфере и сопоставление направлений данных мероприятий с реальными ESG-потребностями граждан в условиях экономического кризиса.

The ESG agenda is becoming more popular every year. The future of the economy, ecology and quality of life in the country directly depends on the state and corporations following the ESG principles. Increasingly, investors are paying attention to ESG reports of companies when making investment decisions. An increasing number of countries and large corporations are abandoning short-term excess profits in favor of long-term sustainable development. In this connection, there is a need to consider the real actions of corporations and the government in the field of ESG, as well as the needs of the population on the example of a small industrial city. The economic crisis can seriously affect both the activities of companies and the priorities of citizens. This paper examines the real experience of companies in the ESG sphere and compares the directions of these activities with the real ESG needs of citizens in the economic crisis.
