Use of the comparative conjunctions "словно", "точно" and "как будто" in Vladimir Nabokov's novel "Other shores"

Abstract

В работе изучается сравнение как фундаментальная мыслительная операция человека. Рассмотрены подходы к изучению сравнения в разных науках. Проанализированы средства выражения сравнительных отношений на всех языковых уровнях. Отдельное внимание уделено союзам "словно", "точно" и "как будто" и их роли в формировании сравнительных отношений. На примере романа Владимира Набокова "Другие берега" рассмотрено, как влияет выбор автора между союзами "словно", "точно" и "как будто" на формирование образов.

The diploma work examines comparison as a fundamental cognitive operation. Approaches to the study of comparison in different sciences are considered. The means of expressing comparative relations at all language levels are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the conjunctions "slovno", "tochno" and "kak budto" and their role in the comparative relations formation . Using the example of Vladimir Nabokov's novel "Drugie berega", it is considered how the author's choice between the conjunctions "slovno", "tochno" and "kak budto" affects the formation of artistic images.
