Alexander Bogdanov and Ivan Efremov's utopian fiction: The issue of literary continuity

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена теме преемственности утопической фантастики А. А. Богданова и И. А. Ефремова. Работа имеет следующую структуру: введение, три главы, заключение и список использованной литературы и источников. Во введении обосновываются актуальность выбранной темы и её новизна, определяются цель и задачи исследования, методологический аппарат. Первая глава посвящена генетической связи между писателями. В ней представены определения основных понятий исследования, изучен исторический контекст и культурные истоки текстов обоих авторов, соотнесены основные тенденции российской утопической традиции с произведениями писателей. При этом исследованы проблемы утопии, ранее практически не изучавшиеся в контексте творчества каждого автора. Вторая глава посвящена контактной связи между писателями. В ней представлены и проанализированы идеи, не связанные генетически с мировой утопической традицией, в которых наблюдается преемственность между двумя авторами. При этом проанализированы как проблемы, в решении которых и Богданов, и Ефремов демонстрируют схожий взгляд, так и проблемы, решаемые ими по-разному. Такого рода исследование ранее не проделывалось в истории литературоведения. Третья глава посвящена некоторым проблемам поэтики утопий обоих писателей. Исследованы особенности пространства и времени в утопических романах писателей. Также изучены отношения «Красной звезды» Богданова и «Туманности Андромеды» Ефремова с утопическим каноном. В заключении представлены основные выводы, полученные в результате исследования. Выпускная квалификационная работа содержит 69 страниц с 54 источниками литературы.

The final qualifying work is devoted to the theme of the continuity of utopian fiction by Alexander Bogdanov and Ivan Efremov. The work has the following structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusion and list of references and sources. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the chosen topic and its novelty, defines the purpose and objectives of the study, and the methodological apparatus. The first chapter is devoted to the genetic connection between writers. It presents the definitions of the main concepts of the research, examines the historical context and cultural origins of the texts of both authors, correlates the main trends of the Russian utopian tradition with the works of writers. At the same time, the problems of utopia, previously practically not studied in the context of the work of each author, are investigated. The second chapter is devoted to the contact connection between writers. It presents and analyzes ideas that are not genetically related to the world utopian tradition, in which there is continuity between the two authors. At the same time, both problems are analyzed, in the solution of which both Bogdanov and Efremov demonstrate a similar view, and problems that they solve differently. This kind of research has never been done before in the history of philology. The third chapter is devoted to some problems of the poetics of the utopias of both writers. The features of space and time in the writers' utopian novels are investigated. The relationship of Bogdanov's "Red Star" and Efremov's "Andromeda Nebula" with the utopian canon is also studied. In conclusion, the main conclusions obtained as a result of the study are presented. The final qualifying work contains 69 pages with 54 sources of literature.
