Assessment of the geopolitical situation of the Southern federal districts of the Russian Federation

Abstract

АННОТАЦИЯ выпускной квалификационной работы на тему «Оценка геополитического положения Южного федерального округа Российской Федерации» Автор работы студентка 4 курса направления «География» кафедры Региональной политики и политической географии Санкт-Петербургского Государственного Университета Балабанова Кристина Андреевна. ЮФО в наши дни вызывает повышенный интерес, так как это приграничный регион, стратегическое значение которого в условиях проведения СВО в Украине значительно возросло, кроме этого, в последние годы это динамично развивающийся округ. Оценка его современного (в работе рассматриваются события, происходившие до мая 2023 года) геополитического положения позволяет выявить наиболее перспективные направления для дальнейшего развития округа, проблемы и способы их возможного решения. Ранее количественная оценка геополитического положения ЮФО не проводилась. В работе актуализированы теоретико-методологические подходы к оценке геополитического положения, также в рамках исследования данного округа было проведено сравнение его возможностей с другими округами РФ в геополитическом, экономическом и геостратегическом плане, при помощи историко-географического анализа были выявлены этапы развития региона и основные события, повлиявшие на его формирование, в том числе, как геополитической единицы, представлена количественная и качественная оценка геополитического положения ЮФО. Были проанализированы более 80-ти источников, включающих в себя работы отечественных и зарубежных исследователей (в области геополитики, политической и социально-экономической географии, экономики и права), а также статистические материалы. В работе представлен картографический материал, составленный автором. Исследования опирается на научные труды Бакланова Я.П., Каледина Н.В., Колосова В.А., Мироненко Н.С., Потоцкой Т.И., Туровского Р.Ф., Фартышева А.Н. Объем дипломной работы составляет 117 страниц и включает: введение, 3 главы (состоящие суммарно из 10 параграфов), заключение, перечень использованной литературы и приложения (картографический материал, таблицы и схемы) В первой главе раскрываются ключевые определения, используемые в работе, а также приведена методика расчета оценки геополитического положения. Вторая глава посвящена историко-географическим особенностям формирования современной территории Южного федерального округа в разные периоды. В третьей главе проанализированы основные актуальные события, оказывающие влияние на современное геополитическое положение округа, приведены результаты сравнения округа с другими федеральными округами, выявлены перспективные направления для развития ЮФО и представлен расчет оценки геополитического положения ЮФО.

ANNOTATION final qualifying work on the topic "Assessment of the geopolitical position of the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation" The author of the work is a 4th-year student of the "Geography" department of Regional Politics and Political Geography of St. Petersburg State University Balabanova Kristina Andreevna. Nowadays, the Southern Federal District is of increased interest, since it is a border region, the strategic importance of which has increased significantly in the conditions of its implementation in Ukraine, in addition, in recent years it is a dynamically developing district. An assessment of its current (the paper examines the events that took place before May 2023) geopolitical position allows us to identify the most promising areas for further development of the district, problems and ways of their possible solution. Previously, a quantitative assessment of the geopolitical position of the Southern Federal District was not carried out. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the assessment of the geopolitical position are updated in the work, also within the framework of the study of this district, its capabilities were compared with other districts of the Russian Federation in geopolitical, economic and geostrategic terms, with the help of historical and geographical analysis, the stages of development of the region and the main events that influenced its formation were identified, including how A quantitative and qualitative assessment of the geopolitical position of the Southern Federal District is presented. More than 80 sources were analyzed, including the works of domestic and foreign researchers (in the field of geopolitics, political and socio-economic geography, economics and law), as well as statistical materials. The paper presents cartographic material compiled by the author. The research is based on the scientific works of Baklanov Ya.P., Kaledin N.V., Kolosov V.A., Mironenko N.S., Pototskaia T.I., Turovsky R.F., Fartyshev A.N. The volume of the thesis is 117 pages and includes: introduction, 3 chapters (consisting of a total of 10 paragraphs), conclusion, list of references and appendices (cartographic material, tables and schemes) The first chapter reveals the key definitions used in the work, as well as the methodology for calculating the assessment of the geopolitical situation. The second chapter is devoted to the historical and geographical features of the formation of the modern territory of the Southern Federal District in different periods. In the third chapter, the main current events affecting the current geopolitical situation of the district are analyzed, the results of comparing the district with other federal districts are presented, promising directions for the development of the Southern Federal District are identified and the calculation of the assessment of the geopolitical position of the Southern Federal District is presented.
