The students' Trade Union of Leningrad State University during Perestroika (1985 – 1991)

Abstract

Одной из форм студенческого самоуправления в Ленинградском университете был профсоюз студентов. Он входил в структуру профсоюза работников просвещения, высшей школы и научных учреждений СССР. Его деятельность была направлена на материальную поддержку студентов, их оздоровление в профилакториях, санаториях, базах отдыха, а также их воспитание посредством культурных мероприятий, социалистических соревнований, развитие у студентов ответственного отношения к труду и имуществу. Деятельность профсоюза студентов пересекалась с деятельностью комсомольской организации, профсоюза сотрудников и аспирантов и партийной организации.

One of the forms of student government at Leningrad State University was the students' trade union. He was part of the structure of the trade union of workers of education, higher education and scientific institutions of the USSR. His activities were aimed at financial assistance for students, rehabilitation of students in dispensaries, sanatoriums, recreation camps, as well as education through cultural events, socialist competitions, development of a responsible attitude to work and property. The activities of the students' trade union intersected with the activities of the Komsomol organization, the trade union of professors and graduate students and the CPSU organization.
