Structural changes in the geography of world trade in the late 20th - early 21st centuries

Abstract

Целью данной работы является выявление структурных изменений в географии мировой торговли в конце XX – начале XXI вв. и пространственно-временных закономерностей её трансформации. Объектом исследования является мировая торговля, а предметом – товарная и географическая структура мировой торговли. В исследовании рассмотрено понятие международной торговли как вида внешнеэкономической деятельности, проанализированы преимущества и недостатки участия в международной торговле и приведены примеры, дан обзор существующих работ, касающихся темы исследования. Представлена характеристика товарной и географической структуры международной торговли в 1995 и 2019 годах. Проанализированы изменения вклада регионов в международную торговлю в целом и по основным товарным группам, трансформации внешнеэкономических связей макрорегионов мира и приводится классификация стран мира на основе рассматриваемых показателей – внешнеторговой квоты и доли внутрирегиональной торговли.

The purpose of this work is to identify structural changes in the geography of world trade in the late XX - early XXI centuries and spatio-temporal patterns of its transformation. The object of research is world trade, and the subject is the commodity and geographical structure of world trade. The study considers the concept of international trade as a type of foreign economic activity, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of participation in international trade and provides examples, gives an overview of existing works related to the research topic. The characteristics of the commodity and geographical structure of international trade in 1995 and 2019 are presented. Changes in the contribution of regions to international trade in general and by main commodity groups, the transformation of foreign economic relations of the macro regions of the world are analyzed, and a classification of the countries of the world is given on the basis of the indicators under consideration - the foreign trade quota and the share of intraregional trade.
