The mechanism of social and economic sanctions and countersanctions in the Russian foreign policy

Abstract

В работе автор рассматривает механизм политических и социально-экономических санкций и контрсанкций в качестве инструмента внешней политики РФ и ее взаимодействия с иностранными государствами. Исследуется практика применения санкционных мер с 1945 года, определяется их целеполагание и результативность. Для выявления места и роли механизма ограничительных мер изучен политический дискурс основных российских акторов политической деятельности, которые формируют позицию российского руководства относительно санкций.

In this research the author considers the mechanism of political and social and economic sanctions and countersanctions as a tool of Russian foreign policy and its interaction with foreign countries. The author investigates the practice of application of sanction measures since 1945, determines their goal-setting and effectiveness. To identify the place and role of the mechanism of restrictive measures, political discourse of major Russian actors in political activities, who form the position of the Russian leadership regarding sanctions, was studied.
