Ways of interpreting the blockade of everyday life in the museums of Leningrad – St.Petersburg in the 20th – 21st centuries

Abstract

Блокада Ленинграда — событие, которое до сих пор вызывает научный интерес среди ученых, а тема повседневности – одна из актуальнейших тем сегодняшней науки. Новейшие исследования, посвященные повседневности блокадного города характеризуют события тех лет, как критический, переломный этап исторического развития. Исследователи считают, что господствующие в отечественной культуре подходы к трактовке данной научной проблематики зачастую воспроизводят выраженную установку на глорификацию событий военного времени, сложившуюся в рамках советской исторической науки. Для того, чтобы реализовать комплексный подход в осмыслении и показе жизни в блокадном городе среди современного поколения, возникает потребность тщательного анализа имеющихся выставок и экспозиций музеев Ленинграда и Санкт-Петербурга. Исследование рассматривает музейные решения в освещении блокадных реалий в исторических музеях с 1941 по 2021 гг. В работе реализован анализ экспозиционно-выставочных проектов второй половины XX в., охватывающих тематику частной жизни в условиях осажденного Ленинграда, которая находила освещение в рамках наиболее значимых музейных проектов. Изучение экспозиций и выставок, созданных в XXI в., позволило сделать вывод о реализации новых подходов в освещении данной тематики. Однако, несмотря на внушительное количество существующих экспозиционных решений, целый ряд важных составляющих культуры повседневности в блокадном Ленинграде, раскрыт не полностью. Мораторий на «трудные» темы, возникший отчасти по этическим, отчасти – по политическим соображениям, а также в силу недостаточной изученности тематики, не позволяет открыто повествовать о главном: как реализовывался каждодневный жизненный выбор человека, о чем он думал во время этого выбора, что чувствовал? Рассмотрение музейных подходов к трактовке темы происходит в рамках трех локусов: тела человека, его дома и поселения, согласно концепции В. Д. Лелеко, а также рассмотрены рабочее пространство и сфера досуга. Особое внимание уделено теме блокадного детства. Выпускная квалификационная работа опирается на архивные данные, музейные источники (каталоги и путеводители), сведения с официальных сайтов музеев и материалы интервью с сотрудниками музеев.

The siege of Leningrad is an event that still arouses scientific interest among scientists, and the topic of everyday life is one of the most relevant topics of today's science. The latest research on the daily life of the besieged city characterizes the events of those years as a critical, turning point in historical development. The researchers believe that the dominant approaches in Russian culture to the interpretation of this scientific problem often reproduce the expressed attitude to the glorification of wartime events that developed within the framework of Soviet historical science. In order to implement an integrated approach in understanding and showing life in the besieged city among the modern generation, there is a need for a thorough analysis of the existing exhibitions and expositions of the museums of Leningrad and St. Petersburg. The study examines museum solutions in highlighting the blockade realities in historical museums from 1941 to 2021. The paper analyzes the exposition and exhibition projects of the second half of the XX century, covering the subject of private life in the conditions of besieged Leningrad, which found coverage within the most significant museum projects. The study of expositions and exhibitions created in the XXI century allowed us to conclude about the implementation of new approaches in the coverage of this topic. However, despite the impressive number of existing exposition solutions, a number of important components of the culture of everyday life in besieged Leningrad are not fully disclosed. The moratorium on "difficult" topics, which arose partly for ethical, partly for political reasons, as well as due to insufficient knowledge of the subject, does not allow us to openly talk about the main thing: how was a person's everyday life choice realized, what did he think about during this choice, what did he feel? The consideration of museum approaches to the interpretation of the topic takes place within the framework of three loci: the human body, his house and settlement, according to the concept of V. D. Leleko, and the workspace and leisure sphere are also considered. Special attention is paid to the topic of blockade childhood. The final qualifying work is based on archival data, museum sources (catalogs and guidebooks), information from the official websites of museums and materials of interviews with museum staff.
