Borrowing English-language concepts in the sphere of business and economics

Abstract

В настоящем исследовании рассматривается вопрос об импорте англоязычных заимствований в лексике специализированной лексике, точнее в сфере экономики и бизнеса. Большая часть заимствований рассматривается как языковой импорт, причины которого кроются в разнообразных факторах социально-исторического характера. В настоящее время список заимствованных англоязычных концептов в области экономической науки только растёт. Необходимо понять целесообразность импорта концептов на современном этапе развития экономики и бизнеса. В первой части данного исследовании мы рассматриваем понятие «концепт», его структура и особенности. Кроме того, рассматриваются особенности концептосферы «экономика» в русской и англоязычной лингвокультурах. Во второй части анализируются языковые единицы, вербализованные концепты в русскоязычной и соотносимые концепты в англоязычной лингвокультурах в сфере экономики и бизнеса. Методология исследования лексических единиц базируется на анализе данных толковых словарей, которые рассматриваются в качестве достоверных источников лексикографической информации. На основе сопоставления значения лексем выявляются общие и уникальные для культур донора и реципиента значения, отраженные в словарных статьях русских и английских толковых словарей.

The present study examines the issue of the import of English-language borrowings in the specialized vocabulary, more precisely in the field of economics and business. Most of the borrowings are considered as linguistic imports, the reasons for which lie in a variety of social and historical factors. . Currently, the list of borrowed English-language concepts in the field of economic science is only growing. It is necessary to understand the expediency of importing concepts at the present stage of economic development. In the first part of this study, we consider the term "concept", its structure and features. Furthermore, the peculiarities of the conceptosphere "economy" in Russian and English language linguocultures are considered. The second part analyzes linguistic units, verbalized concepts in Russian and correlated concepts in English linguocultures in the sphere of economy and business. The methodology of lexical units research is based on the analysis of explanatory dictionaries, which are considered to be reliable sources of lexicographic information. Based on the comparison of the meanings of the lexemes the common and unique for the donor and recipient cultures meanings, reflected in the dictionary entries of the Russian and English explanatory dictionaries, are revealed.
