Russian euphemisms reflecting the natural characteristics of a person and his political activity (in comparison with the Chinese language)

Abstract

В работе рассматриваются эвфемистические обороты разных групп, способы и средства образования эвфемизмов, а также сопоставление их в русском языке на фоне китайского языка. В первой главе проводится изучение эвфемизмов в целом. Определяется понятие эвфемизма в трактовке различных ученых, изучаются причины возникновения эвфемизмов в русском и китайском языках и функции эвфемизмов в общении. Во второй главе нами классифицировано более 400 эвфемистических единиц русского и китайского языков, которые делятся на несколько тематических групп: «смерть», «старость», «болезнь», «сексуальные отношения», «политика», «война». Дальше анализируются более 400 эвфемистических единиц для сопоставления средств образования эвфемизмов в русском и китайском языках, выявляются особенности в образовании эвфемизмов в двух языках. Структурно работа состоит из введения, теоретической и исследовательской глав с выводами по каждой из них, заключения, списка использованной литературы и приложения, включающего список проанализированных эвфемизмов.

The paper considers euphemistic expressions of different groups, ways and means of forming euphemisms, as well as comparing them in Russian against the background of the Chinese language. The first chapter examines euphemisms in general. The concept of euphemism is defined in the interpretation of various scientists, the reasons for the emergence of euphemisms in Russian and Chinese and the functions of euphemisms in communication are studied. In the second chapter, we have classified more than 400 euphemistic units of the Russian and Chinese languages, which are divided into several thematic groups: “death”, “old age”, “illness”, “sexual relations”, “politics”, “war”. Further, more than 400 euphemistic units are analyzed to compare the means of euphemism formation in Russian and Chinese, features in the formation of euphemisms in two languages are revealed. Structurally, the work consists of an introduction, theoretical and research chapters with conclusions on each of them, a conclusion, a list of references and an appendix, including a list of analyzed euphemisms.
