Bryansk paleosols of the watershed position in the Yamskaya Steppe: Morphology, properties and paleogeographic interpretation

Abstract

На данный момент большое количество работ посвящено изучению почвенного покрова современного (голоценового) и предыдущего (микулинского) межледниковья. Однако, малоизученными остаются почвы, сформированные во время достаточно крупного интерстадиала последнего Валдайского оледенения. Это брянский интервал (MIS3), временные рамки которого соответствуют периоду 32–24 тысячи лет. Цель данной работы состоит в изучении особенностей морфологического строения брянской палеопочвы (MIS3) водораздельной позиции Ямской степи и оценка её в палеогеографическом отношении. На основании морфологических, а так же химических и физико-химических свойств брянских палеопочв, нам удалось выявить различия в климатических условиях формирования обоих ритмов.

To date, there are numerous works dedicated to studying the soil cover of the modern (Holocene) and previous (Mikulino) interglacials. However, soils formed during a rather large interstadial of the latest Valdai glaciation remain insufficiently studied. This is the Bryansk interval (MIS3), the time frame of which ranges from 32 to 24 thousand years. The purpose of this work is to study the properties of the morphological structure of the Bryansk paleosol (MIS3) of the watershed position of the Yamskaya Steppe and to assess it from a paleogeographic point of view. Based on the morphological, as well as the chemical and physicochemical properties, of Bryansk paleosols, we were able to determine the differences in the conditions of the formation of both rhythms.
