Buddhism in the Cultural Life of Modern China

Abstract

Актуальность темы исследования обусловлена непреходящим интересом к культурному развитию Китая, а также необходимостью выявления преемственности между историческими и современными факторами развития Китая. История Китая дает уникальную, но продуктивную картину синтеза и гармонии различных идеологических и религиозных течений, результатом которого выступает великая и богатая культура Китая. Буддизм, как одна из мировых религий, проник в Китай в III в. до н.э. и существует по настоящее время. Целью настоящей работы является изучение развития и роли буддизма с момента его появления на территории Китая и до настоящего времени. В связи с чем поставлены следующие задачи: 1. Рассмотреть динамику развития буддизма на протяжении его существования на китайской почве начиная с восьми школ китайской Махаяны. 2. Проследить историческую роль Шелкового пути и Тхеравады в развитии китайского буддизма. 3. Исследовать институты сохранения культурной памяти в современном Китае. 4. Отдельно рассмотреть феномен кибербуддизма, значимый для современного Китая. Объектом исследования является буддизм в культурной жизни Китая. Предметом исследования является реализация усвоения буддизма на национальной почве, от китайских школ Махаяны до феномена кибербуддизма.

The relevance of the research topic is due to the continuing interest in the cultural development of China, as well as the need to identify continuity between historical and modern factors of China's development. The history of China gives a unique but productive picture of the synthesis and harmony of various ideological and religious trends, which results in the great and rich culture of China. Buddhism, as one of the world religions, penetrated into China in the III century BC and still exists today. The purpose of this work is to study the development and role of Buddhism from the moment of its appearance in China to the present. In this connection , the following tasks are set: 1. Consider the dynamics of the development of Buddhism throughout its existence on Chinese soil, starting with the eight schools of Chinese Mahayana. 2. To trace the historical role of the Silk Road and Theravada in the development of Chinese Buddhism. 3. To investigate the institutions of cultural memory preservation in modern China. 4. Separately consider the phenomenon of cyberbuddism, significant for modern China. The object of the study is Buddhism in the cultural life of China. The subject of the study is the realization of the assimilation of Buddhism on a national basis, from Chinese Mahayana schools to the phenomenon of cyberbuddism.
