Restoration of a wall painting fragment from the Bishop's Metochion in the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St.Petersburg

Тема выпускной квалификационной работы: Реставрация фрагмента настенной росписи в Архиерейском Подворье Храма Благовещения Пресвятой Богородицы города Санкт-Петербурга. В 30е годы 20 века интерьер храма был закрашен множеством слоев малярных поновлений. Воссоздание храма началось в 2016 году. Участие в реставрации принимают студенты кафедры реставрации СПбГУ и СПГХПА им. А. Л. Штиглица. Проведена реставрация фрагмента настенной росписи. С поверхности живописного слоя удалено множество малярных закрасок различного характера. Выполнены исследования до начала работ, и в процессе. Проведена фотофиксация всех этапов работы и выполнены картограммы повреждений. Выполнено укрепление отставаний красочного слоя. Работа по раскрытию живописи велась механическим способом всухую при помощи скальпеля. С живописного слоя шпаклёвка удалялась скальпелем с предварительным увлажнением 2% водным раствором клея Culminal MHPC. Сохранность фрагмента настенной росписи удовлетворительная. Вся поверхность живописного слоя имеет многочисленные потертости, утраты и трещины. Настенная роспись арочного проема требует дальнейшей работы – проведения технической реставрации на оставшемся участке, удаление поздних живописных поновлений.

The title of final qualifying work: Restoration of a wall painting fragment from the Bishop's Metochion in the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St Petersburg. In the 30s of the 20th century, the entire interior of the church was painted over with many layers of paint updates. The restoration of the temple began in 2016. Students of the Department of Restoration of St. Petersburg State University and Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design take part in the restoration. The restoration of a fragment of the wall painting was carried out. From the surface of the painting layer, a lot of paint paints of various types have been removed. Studies were carried out before the start of the work, and in the process. Photographical documentation of all stages of work was carried out and damage cartograms were performed. The consolidation of the paint layer backlogs was carried out. The work on the disclosure of painting was carried out mechanically dry with a scalpel. The putty was removed from the painting layer with a scalpel with pre-moistening with a 2% aqueous solution of Culminal MHPC glue. The preservation of the fragment of the wall painting is satisfactory. The entire surface of the painting layer has numerous scuffs, losses and cracks. The wall painting of the archway requires further work – technical restoration on the remaining site, removal of late picturesque updates.
