Trade and economic relations between the USA and the EU: modern problems of the integration development

Abstract

Данное исследование посвящено выявлению проблем, тенденций и перспектив торгово-экономической интеграции между Соединенными Штатами Америки и Европейским Союзом. Актуальность исследования обусловлена, с одной стороны, характером отношений между США и ЕС, а с другой – влиянием их экономик на международную торговую систему в целом. Объектом исследования является торгово-экономические отношения ЕС и США. Предмет исследования – торгово-экономическая интеграция ЕС и США. В рамках исследования проведен анализ исторических аспектов торгово-экономических взаимоотношений между США и государствами-членами ЕС, системных факторов (кризис многосторонней торговой системы, становление многополярной системы) и их влияния на трансатлантическую интеграцию. Также рассмотрены современные попытки углубленной торгово-экономической интеграции на примере Трансатлантического торгового и инвестиционного партнерства и торговые конфликты в период президентства Д. Трампа. По результатам исследования были выявлены ключевые причины интеграции и перспективы ее развития, а также препятствия, с которыми она сталкивается.

This work is dedicated to identifying problems, trends and prospects for trade and economic integration between the United States of America and the European Union. The relevance of the study is due, on the one hand, to the nature of relations between the US and the EU, and on the other hand, to the influence of their economies on the international trading system as a whole. The object of the research is trade and economic relations between the EU and the USA. The subject of the study is the trade and economic integration of the EU and the USA. The study analyzes the historical aspects of trade and economic relations between the US and EU member states, systemic factors (the crisis of the multilateral trading system, the formation of a multipolar system) and their impact on transatlantic integration. Also considered are modern attempts to deepen trade and economic integration on the example of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and trade conflicts during the presidency of D. Trump. Based on the results of the work, the key reasons for integration and the prospects for its development, as well as the obstacles it faces, were identified.
