Germany's Ostpolitik in the modern period

Abstract

Концепция восточной политики (Ostpolitik) как политическая идея сформировалась в 60-70-е гг. ХХ в., а ее автором во многом стал федеральный канцлер ФРГ В. Брандт. Условия биполярности международной системы и эпохи напряженности определенным образом отразились на ее составляющих, однако не сделали ее зависимой производной от своего времени. Линия, направленная на установление тесных контактов между Германией и странами Восточной Европы, не потеряла своей актуальности по настоящее время. В данной работе проводится исследование уместности применения положений концепции Ostpolitik относительно современной модели выстраивания сотрудничества между ФРГ и странами, принадлежащими к вышеозначенному региону. При этом для достижения идеи равнозначности составляющих концепции касательно друг друга наряду с российско-германскими взаимоотношениями рассматривается политика в рамках проекта "Восточного партнерства" ЕС, где наиболее полным образом претворяется в жизнь идея трансформационного приближения стран, участвующих в этом процессе, к европейским стандартам.

Ostpolitik conception appeared as a political idea in 70s of the 20th century, and the author of its core principles was the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany W. Brandt. Bipolar conditions of the system of international relations and existing interstate tensions in that times had their certain impact on essential components of this conception, but, in the end, its survivability has not become dependent on external factors of the century. The line aimed at the establishment of close ties between Germany and East-European countries has proved its relevance towards modern conditions. This work examines the degree of Ostpolitik conception expedience concerning the model of cooperation nowadays between FRG and states of above-mentioned region. Whereby for the purpose of the conception components equivalence parallel to the analysis of German-Russian relations there is a study of basic policies within the frames of the EU project "Eastern Partnership", where we can see a straightforward implementation of the transformation idea facilitating the process of approaching the EU standards for the countries engaged in this programme.
