The seasonal works of the East Slavonic population in the Russian Far East

Abstract

Представленная работа посвящена изучению отхожих промыслов в среде крестьянского и казачьего населения юга Дальнего Востока Российской Империи. В работе рассматриваются основные факторы распространения различных отхожих промыслов, анализируется распространённость отхожих промыслов в различных районах региона. Даётся характеристика отдельных видов отхожих промыслов, оценивается степень их значения в жизни изучаемого населения.

This work is devoted to the study of seasonal work among the peasant and cossack population in the south of the Far East of the Russian Empire. The paper discusses the main factors in the spread of different seasonal work, analyzed the prevalence of seasonal work in different areas of the region. We give a characterization of certain types of seasonal work, measured the degree of their importance in the life of the studied population.
