The coverage of the Polish revolt of 1830 – 1831 in St.Petersburg periodicals

Abstract

Работа посвящена отражению Польского Восстания 1830-1831 гг. в петербургской периодической печати. На примере трех столичных газет «Северная Пчела», «Русский Инвалид» и «Tygodnik Petersburski» автор показывает, как в них на протяжении Восстания трансформируются понятия о восстании, как возникают образы национального, польского, имперского, и вписывает их в существовавший тогда историко-политический контекст.

The paper describes the reflection of the Novenber Uprising of 1830-1831 in contemporary St.Petersburg periodicals. The author explores three of them: «Severnaya Pchela», «Russkiy Invalid» and «Tygodnik Petersburski», shows how in this case the concept of the insurrection transforms and the images of the National, Polish and Imperial appear and fits it in the historical and political contexts.
