The structure of general education in the Republic of Korea and its reform in 1995 - 2020

Abstract

Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена изучению структуры общеобразовательной школы Республики Корея и ее реформированию в 1995-2020 годы. В рамках работы был проведен анализ особенностей реформирования школьного образования в Республике Корея, а также выявлены перспективы развития политики реформирования общеобразовательной школы. Особое внимание в работе уделяется проблемам современного школьного образования Республики Корея. В ходе исследования автор пришел к выводу, что главной проблемой школьного образования является концентрация внимания школьников исключительно на сдачу экзаменов. Помимо этого, перед правительством Республики Корея стоят задачи по повышению качества школьного образования, борьбе с нелегальным репетиторством, а также продвижению идеи концепции непрерывного образования.

This graduate paper is devoted to the study of the structure of the general education school system of the Republic of Korea and its reform during 1995-2020. As part of the work, the author analysed features of school education reform in the Republic of Korea and identified the prospects for the development of the policy of reforming the general education school.

Particular attention is paid to the problems of modern school education in the Republic of Korea. The author came to the conclusion that the main problem of school education is the concentration of students’ attention exclusively on passing exams. In addition, the Government of the Republic of Korea is faced with the task of improving the quality of school education, combating illegal tutoring, and promoting the idea of the concept of lifelong education.
