The confiictogenic potential of the dress code: a case of educational institutions in St Petersburg

Abstract

В данной работе рассматривается конфликтогенный потенциал дресс-кода в образовательных учреждениях Санкт-Петербурга. Автор показывает, что несмотря на многие положительные функции школьной формы, в школах возникают конфликты между участниками образовательного процесса, которые нередко выходят за рамки организации и становятся публичными. Объектом исследования является дресс-код в образовательных учреждениях Санкт-Петербурга. Предмет исследования — конфиктогенный потенциал дресс-кода в образовательных учреждениях Санкт-Петербурга. Основной целью данной работы, является анализ конфиктогенного потенциала дресс-кода на примере образовательных учреждениях Санкт-Петербурга. Для достижения цели в первой главе была рассмотрены история, понятия и функции дресс-кода. А также описан дресс-код как способ предупреждения и причины конфликтов в образовательных учреждениях. Во второй главе описывается проведенное нами эмпирическое исследование конфликтогенного потенциала дресс-кода в школах Санкт-Петербурга, а именно: анализ СМИ, положений о внешнем виде, выборочный анкетный опрос учеников и родителей школ. Опираясь на результаты исследования, был разработан проект по грамотному введению дресс-кода в образовательных учреждениях. Работа состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения и списка литературы. Общий объем работы – 90 страниц.

This paper examines the conflict-causing potential of the dress code in educational institutions of St. Petersburg. The author shows that despite the many positive functions of school uniforms, conflicts arise in schools between participants in the educational process, which often go beyond the organization and become public. The object of the study is the dress code in educational institutions of St. Petersburg. The subject of the study is the confictogenic potential of the dress code in educational institutions of St. Petersburg. The main purpose of this work is to analyze the confictogenic potential of the dress code on the example of educational institutions in St. Petersburg. To achieve this goal, the first chapter examined the history, concepts, and functions of the dress code. It also describes the dress code as a way to prevent and cause conflicts in educational institutions. The second chapter describes our empirical study of the conflict-causing potential of the dress code in schools in St. Petersburg, namely: the analysis of the media, the provisions on appearance, a selective questionnaire survey of students and parents of schools. Based on the results of the study, a project was developed for the competent introduction of the dress code in educational institutions. The work consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references. The total volume of work is 90 pages.
