A comparative study of France's and Britain's foreign policies in the Middle East in the 21st century

Abstract

Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена изучению внешней политики Франции и Великобритании на Ближнем Востоке в период с 2000 по 2018 год. В рамках исследования рассматривается совокупность внешнеполитических задач Франции и Великобритании в регионе Ближнего Востока и Южного Средиземноморья и их практическая реализация в указанный период. Также в работе присутствуют отсылки к предыдущему столетию в контексте изучения взаимоотношений Франции и Великобритании с государствами ближневосточного региона. Сделано это для того чтобы показать динамику выстраивания межгосударственных отношений и сложившуюся историческую базу отношений. Целью данной работы является определение внешнеполитических позиций и ролей Франции и Великобритании в регионе Ближнего Востока и Северной Африки и их практическая реализация. На сегодняшний день не написано исследований в формате сравнительного анализа внешней политики Франции и Великобритании в рассматриваемом регионе в указанный хронологический период. Данное обстоятельства обуславливает новизну данной работы.

This thesis is about exploration of french and British foreign policy in the Middle East from 2000 to 2018. In the frameworks of this research is being observed complex of foreign policy goals of France and the UK in the region of the Middle East and South Mediterranean and their practical realization. In this thesis also exists references to the previous century in the context of examination of french and british relations with states of the Middle East. It is done to illustrate a dynamic of building of multinational relations and current historical base. The main purpose of this thesis is to determine political positions of France and Great Britain and their roles in region of Middle East and the North Africa and their practical implementation. At the moment it does not exist researches in the format of comparative analysis of foreign policy of France and the UK in the investigated region in specified period. This circumstance illustrates the novelty and unicity of this thesis.
