The political and legal aspects of the implementation of women's personal rights in the BRICS countries

Abstract

В работе представлен комплексный анализ политических и правовых аспектов полноты реализации некоторых личных прав женщин в странах БРИКС - права на жизнь, свободу личности, человеческое достоинство и равенство перед законом. Дан сравнительный анализ норм конституционного права участниц формата в части прав человека, исследованы основы государственной политики в отношении женщин, а также работа региональных общественных организаций в данном направлении. Сравнение полученных данных со статистическими показателями приводит к выводу о недостаточности принятых законодательных и политических мер для ликвидации нарушений изучаемых прав. Автор предлагает рассмотреть немногочисленные возможные точки сотрудничества стран БРИКС в сфере защиты прав женщин и их содержание.

The work presents comprehensive analysis of the political and legal aspects of the realization of certain personal rights of women in the BRICS countries — the right to life, personal freedom, human dignity and equality before the law. There is a comparative analysis of the rules of the constitutional law of the participants of BRICS’ format in the part of human rights, are being researched the foundations of the state policy on women, and the work of regional public organizations on this way. Comparing the obtained data with statistical indicators, the author comes to the conclusion that the adopted legislative and political measures are insufficient to eliminate violations of the studied rights. The author also suggests considering a few possible points of cooperation between the BRICS countries in the field of protecting women’s rights and the content of such cooperation.
