Regional aspects of global environmental safety as illustrated by Sweden, Norway and Iceland

Abstract

Целью работы является выявление основных проблем окружающей среды Скандинавии, в частности Швеции, Норвегии и Исландии, а также определение главных механизмов, обеспечивающих их разрешение. В ходе исследования автор пришел к следующим выводам. Проведенный анализ показывает, что у мирового сообщества есть все средства для осуществления главных задач концепции устойчивого развития. Однако для этого необходимо включение в решение проблем всех акторов мировой политики, начиная с самих государств и заканчивая отдельными гражданами. Скандинавия является передовым регионом по практическому применению концепции устойчивого развития, несмотря на все экологические проблемы, с которыми она столкнулась. Правительства Осло, Стокгольма и Рейкьявика способствуют продвижению «зеленой» политики, а также придерживаются концепции «умного города», задавая тон остальным городам мира.

The aim of the work is to identify the main environmental problems of Scandinavia, in particular Sweden, Norway and Iceland, as well as to identify the main mechanisms to ensure their resolution. During the study, the author came to the following conclusions. The analysis shows that the world community has all the means to implement the main tasks of the concept of sustainable development. However, this requires the inclusion in the solution of the problems of all the actors of world politics, starting with the states themselves and ending with individual citizens. Scandinavia is a leading region in the practical application of the concept of sustainable development, despite all the environmental problems it has encountered. The governments of Oslo, Stockholm, and Reykjavik are promoting the green policy, as well as adhering to the smart city concept, setting the tone for other cities in the world.
