The evolution of Russia’s image in Japan

Abstract

В проведенном исследовании рассматривается процесс эволюции образа России в Японии на протяжении существования русско-японских отношений, важные периоды в развитии этих отношений и то, как развитие коммуникаций между этими двумя странами повлияло на имидж России в Японии как в разных исторических периодах, так и в современности.

The study examines the process of the evolution of Russia’s image in Japan during the whole of Russo-Japanese relations, the important periods in the development of the relations as well as how the development of mutual communications has influenced the image of Russia in Japan both during the different historical periods and in the modern age.
