Syntactic constructions in the structure of the language personality of the character and their translation into English (a case study of the novel by B. Pasternak "Doctor Zhivago")

Abstract

Данное исследование направлено на изучение особенностей орнаментальной прозы, приближенной к стихотворной речи благодаря общему характеру слова, выходящему за границы, поставленные ему языковой нормой, и передачи их в тексте принимающего языка. Основой практического анализа является оригинальный и переводной текст романа Б.Л. Пастернака «Доктор Живаго». Особенностями явления орнаментализма, отмечаются: выход за рамки литературного языка, разрушения старых связей между словами. Такие изменения ведет к перестройке системы словоупотребления, свойственной литературному языку, и к возникновению новых связей, новой системы отношений между словами. Синтаксическая организация речи является одной из важных составляющих художественной прозы, в том числе в организации языковой личности. Поэтому для рассмотрения выбраны главные женские образы романа, выделенные в их речи синтаксические структуры. В художественном переводе важное место занимает ориентация на оригинальный текст. Стиль автора, выраженный в особенностях синтаксиса и лексики, должен быть точно передан в представлении ПЯ. Выбранная стратегия перевода определяет, какие лексические преобразования будут использоваться по отношению к исходному тексту.

This study is aimed to find out features of ornamental prose, which is close to poetic speech due to the general character of the word, which goes beyond the boundaries of the language norm, and their transmission in the text of the receiving language. The basis of the practical analysis is the original and translated text of the novel "Doctor Zhivago"by B. L. Pasternak. The peculiarities of the phenomenon of ornamentalism are: going beyond the literary language, the destruction of old connections between words. Such changes lead to the restructuring of the system of word usage and to the emergence of new connections, a new system of relations between words. The syntactic organization of speech is one of the important components of fiction, including in the organization of the language personality. Therefore, the main female images of the novel, the syntactic structures highlighted in their speech, are selected for consideration. In literary translation, an important place is occupied by the orientation to the original text. The style of the author, expressed in the features of syntax and vocabulary, must be accurately conveyed in the representation. The chosen translation strategy determines which lexical transformations will be used in relation to the source text.
