Teaching the languages ​​of indigenous peoples in secondary schools of Russia (on the example of the elective «Language and culture of the Sami of Russia»)

Abstract

Целью данной выпускной квалификационной работы является теоретическое обоснование обучения языкам малочисленных народов в средних общеобразовательных школах России (на примере электива "Язык и культура саамов России"). Данная работа освещает языковую политику РФ, направленную на сохранение языков малочисленных народов, в частности, кильдинского саамского языка. Автором были описаны основные особенности саамской культуры и саамского языка, которые стоит учитывать при разработке упражнений для электива "Язык и культура саамов России". Во второй главе был предложен комплекс языковых и условно-речевых упражнений, которые могут быть включены в электив «Язык и культура саамом России». Помимо того, что в рамках данного электива учащиеся получат знания о языке и смогут применить их на практике, они также получат лингвострановедческие и страноведческие знания, которые помогут им более полно познать саамскую культуру. В заключении работы подчеркивается практическая ценность электива "Язык и культура саамов России".

The aim of this thesis is to identify the benefits of the implementation of the elective course "The Sami Language and the culture of the Russian Sami" in the educational program of secondary school students in Russia. This work focuses on measures that were taken to preserve the Sami languages in Russia. The author also described the main features of the Sami culture and the Sami language, which should be taken into account when developing the elective and exercises and activities for this elective. In the second chapter, the prospects of implementing the elective course "Language and Culture of the Sami of Russia" into the educational program of the Lovozero State School were considered. The author listed and analyzed those competencies and skills that are formed and developed during the course. The practical value of this elective’s implementation was analyzed. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of creating a language environment for the practical application of the knowledge.
