Restoration of a carved oak chair from the late 19th century from the Twelve Collegia building of St Petersburg University

Abstract

в работе составлена историческая справка происхождения и эволюции стула, изучены особенности стиля, проанализированы конструкция и дана классификация стульев, представлены аналоги предмета реставрации. Также приведен перечень работ по выведению из аварийного состояния дубового резного стула второй половины XIX века из кабинета декана биологического факультета Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета в здании Двенадцати коллегий. Автором составлен Паспорт реставрации памятника истории и культуры, произведена подробная фотофиксация хода реставрационных работ с пояснениями, а также собственнику предмета реставрации даны рекомендации по условиям хранения памятника.

the work contains a historical reference of the origin and evolution of the chair, the features of the style are studied, the design is analyzed and the classification of chairs is given, the analogues of the object of restoration are presented. There is also a list of works on bringing out of disrepair an oak carved chair of the second half of the XIX century from the office of the Dean of the Faculty of Biology of St. Petersburg State University in the building of the Twelve Colleges. The author compiled a Passport for the restoration of the monument of history and culture, made a detailed photo recording of the progress of restoration work with explanations, and also gave recommendations to the owner of the object of restoration on the storage conditions of the monument.
