Digital technologies in developing phonetic skills of adult learners at B2-C1 levels of proficiency

Abstract

Диссертация посвящена теоретическому и практическому обоснованию методики обучения взрослых уровня В2-С1 с использованием цифровых технологий, а также отбору и типологизации материалов, способствующих развитию произносительных навыков наиболее эффективно. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что в нем раскрыта специфика методики развития фонетических навыков у взрослых обучаемых уровня В2-С1 с использованием цифровых технологий. Первая, теоретическая глава диссертации содержит обзор основ методики обучения фонетической стороне речи, актуальных проблем обучения, тестирования фонетических навыков и общих принципов применения ИКТ в обучении произношению. Также производится обзор методик обучения произносительной стороне речи и методов формирования произносительных навыков в России и за рубежом. Вторая глава диссертации носит прикладной характер и посвящена определению преимуществ использования цифровых технологий в обучении английскому языку на современном этапе и классификации цифровых инструментов пригодных для формирования звукопроизносительных навыков. В главе предлагается типология упражнений, направленных на развитие звукопроизносительных навыков на отрезке обучения от уровня В2 до С1. Дана оценка результатов проведенного вертикального эксперимента среди взрослых, корпоративно-обучающихся в дистанционном режиме.

The thesis is devoted to theoretical and practical justification of teaching methods focused on pronunciation at level B2-C1 of adult learners by using digital technologies. The paper presents the design and typology of digital techniques that help the learners to develop their pronunciation skills most effectively. The scientific novelty of this thesis lies in the fact that it reveals the specifics of the methodology for developing phonetic skills of the B2-C1 levels of adult students by using digital technologies. The first theoretical chapter of the thesis contains an overview of the basics of teaching the phonetic side of speech, current problems of learning and testing phonetic skills and general principles of the use of ICT in teaching pronunciation. The chapter also reviews the methods of teaching phonetics and methods of forming pronunciation skills in Russia and abroad. The second chapter of the thesis is devoted to the description of using digital technologies in teaching pronunciation in English as the main language of intercultural communication and the classification of digital tools suitable for the formation of pronunciation skills. The chapter offers a typology of exercises aimed at developing sound-speaking skills in the training period from level B2 to C1. The results of a vertical experiment conducted among adults who are corporate students in remote mode are evaluated.
