Исследование направлено на раскрытие развития американо-иранских отношений от стадии первого экономического взаимодействия в XIX веке до вступления в должность президента США Байдена путем изучения и анализа ряда переменных, влияющих на отношения между двумя странами, наиболее заметные из которых это исламская революция, иранская ядерная программа и американская позиция по ней. В первой главе рассматривается роль Ирана с конца XIX века по 1979 год, а также геополитическое влияние США на Иран, взаимодействие стран на разных уровнях. Во второй главе приводится анализ состояния конфликта и влияние исламской революции на ситуацию в целом, так как этот период сыграл значительную роль в исследуемой работе. В третьей главе анализируется состояние конфликта в период распространения пандемии коронавируса, выдвигаются тезисы об изменении ситуации во время президентства Байдена, также рассматриваются возможные сценарии развития конфликта или улучшения отношений, в главе также уделяется большое внимание предстоящим осенью выборам в Иране и то, как возможно изменится ситуация между странами в будущем.

Внешняя политика Ирана всегда вызывала и будет вызывать бурные обсуждения среди других государств. Анализируя поведение Тегерана, стоит учитывать факторы, влияющие на неё. Это иранские традиции, культура, в частности, и религия. Исламская революция 1979 года наглядно показала, насколько Ирану необходима своя политика, не зависящая от западного мира, и в то же время принимающая свои специфические особенности населения, культуры. Аналитическое наблюдение за внешней политикой Ирана и Соединенных Штатов приводит нас к выводу, что обе страны проводят «активную» политику, основанную не на постоянной враждебности, постоянном союзе или постоянном подчинении одной стороны другой, а скорее на политике, которая изменяется в соответствии с временными и стратегическими интересами каждой страны. Но если Иран вместе с остальным миром все еще ожидает кристаллизации четкой стратегии администрации Байдена, то путь к возобновлению новых многосторонних контактов между США и Ираном будет долгим и трудным. Ближайшая проблема как в Соединенных Штатах, так и в Иране будет внутренним. Байдену и его советникам потребуются месяцы, чтобы сформулировать новую политику в отношении Ирана. The study aims to uncover the development of US-Iranian relations from the stage of the first economic interaction in the 19th century to the inauguration of US President Biden by examining and analyzing a number of variables affecting relations between the two countries, the most notable of which are the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian nuclear program, and the American position on it. The first chapter examines the role of Iran from the end of the 19th century to 1979, as well as the geopolitical influence of the United States on Iran, the interaction of countries at different levels. The second chapter analyzes the state of the conflict and the impact of the Islamic revolution on the situation as a whole, since this period played a significant role in the study under study. The third chapter analyzes the state of the conflict during the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, puts forward theses about a change in the situation during the Biden presidency, also discusses possible scenarios for the development of a conflict or improving relations, the chapter also pays great attention to the upcoming elections in Iran in the fall and how the situation might change. between countries in the future. Iran's foreign policy has always caused and will continue to cause heated discussions among other states. When analyzing the behavior of Tehran, it is worth considering the factors influencing it. These are Iranian traditions, culture, in particular, and religion. The Islamic revolution of 1979 clearly showed how much Iran needs its own policy, independent of the Western world, and at the same time accepting its specific characteristics of the population and culture. Analytical observation of the foreign policy of Iran and the United States leads us to the conclusion that both countries are pursuing an "active" policy based not on constant hostility, permanent alliance or constant subordination of one side to the other, but rather on policies that change in accordance with temporary and strategic interests of each country. But if Iran, along with the rest of the world, still awaits the crystallization of a clear strategy from the Biden administration, then the road to resuming new multilateral contacts between the US and Iran will be long and difficult. The immediate problem in both the United States and Iran will be domestic. It will take months for Biden and his advisers to formulate a new policy towards Iran. The volume of work is fifty-nine pages and includes an introduction, three chapters, conclusions for each chapter, a conclusion and a list of sources and literature used.
