Understanding of power in Michel Foucault's later works

Abstract

Магистерская диссертация посвящена анализу понимания власти в поздних работах М.Фуко. Главной целью работы является прояснение тех изменений, что произошли в концепции власти Фуко с обращением к тематике «заботы о себе». Содержательно работа состоит из двух глав, введения и заключения. В первой главе показывается, что понимание власти у Фуко определяется его обращение к ее пространственным характеристикам, в противовес временным и волевым. Через такое понимание анализируется Великая французская революция и показывается, что она сопровождается радикальным преобразованием пространства. Во второй главе предлагается взгляд на практики «заботы о себе» как на способы изменения пространства внешнего через пространство внутреннее.

Master's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the understanding of the power in the later works of Michel Foucault. The main goal of the work is to clarify the changes that have occurred in the concept of power Foucault with reference to the subject of "taking care of yourself." Meaningful work consists of two chapters, introduction and conclusion. The first chapter shows that the understanding of power in Foucault determined by its appeal to its spatial characteristics, as opposed to temporary and volitional. Through this understanding analyzed the French Revolution, and it is shown that it is accompanied by a radical transformation of the space. In the second chapter provides a look at the practice of "self-care" as a way to change the outer space through the inner space.
