The clinical and microbiological evaluation of the “Vector” system effectiveness in the complex treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis

Abstract

Цель исследования – провести клинико-микробиологическую оценку эффективности комплексного лечения хронического генерализованного пародонтита средней степени тяжести с использованием системы «Vector» в одной группе и методики с применением ультразвукового скейлера, воздушно-абразивной системы AirFlow/PerioFlow с порошком на основе глицина Air-Flow Perio и последующей полировкой поверхности зубов с помощью вращающихся инструментов во второй группе. Научная новизна исследования заключается в комплексном сравнении эффективности данных методик как с клинической так и с микробиологической точки зрения с использованием стоматологических индексов, данных объективного осмотра и ПЦР-диагностики по основным пародонтопатогенам (T.denticola, T.forsythia, P.gingivalis и P.intermedia). В результате исследования подтверждена высокая эффективность обоих методов и рекомендовано их применение на стоматологическом приеме.

The aim of the study was to conduct a clinical and microbiological assessment of the effectiveness of complex treatment of chronic generalized periodontitis of moderate severity using the Vector system in one group and a technique using an ultrasonic scaler, an AirFlow / PerioFlow air-abrasive system with a powder based on Air-Flow Perio glycine and subsequent polishing of the tooth surface using rotating instruments in the second group. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a comprehensive comparison of the effectiveness of these techniques, both from the clinical and from the microbiological point of view, using dental indices, objective examination data and PCR diagnostics for the main periodontopathogens (T.denticola, T.forsythia, P.gingivalis and P.intermedia). As a result of the study, the high efficiency of both methods was confirmed and their use at a dental appointment was recommended.
