The engineering and geological conditions for constructing a school in the Primorsky district, St Petersburg

Abstract

В данной работе рассматриваются инженерно-геологические условия строительства здания школы, расположенного к северо-западу от пересечения Глухарской и Планерной улиц в Приморском районе Санкт-Петербурга. В работе детально описано геологическое строение площадки проектируемого строительства, приведены физико-механические свойства грунтов, а также химический состав грунтовых вод, полученные в результате лабораторных исследований. Кроме того, осуществлён расчёт несущей способности сваи-стойки в целях подтверждения целесообразности выбора свайного типа фундамента в качестве основания для проектируемого здания школы.

This paper reviews the engineering and geological conditions for the construction of the school building, located northwest of the intersection of Glukharskaya and Planernaya streets in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. The geological structure of construction site is being elaborately described and physicomechanical properties of soils are being precisely examined, as well as the chemical composition of groundwater, – both obtained as a result of laboratory studies. In addition, the load-bearing capacity of the compression pile was calculated in order to confirm the feasibility of choosing the pile type of foundation as the basis for the school building being designed.
