The development of recreation in the specially protected natural areas of a metropolis: a case study of St Petersburg

Жители крупных городов редко контактируют с природой, именно поэтому развитие рекреации в таких мегаполисах, как Санкт-Петербург, является крайне актуальной темой. Зеленые территории, которые используются горожанам для рекреации — это парки и ООПТ в черте мегаполиса. В связи с этим необходимо развивать на территории ООПТ проекты, которые помогут совмещать природоохранную функцию с рекреационной. В рамках данной работы был разработан маршрут для Елагина острова — одной из ООПТ Санкт-Петербурга, он позволяет посетителям познакомиться с самыми важными природными и культурными объектами на территории ООПТ. Маршрут включает в себя восемь информационных стендов и экскурсию, рассчитанную на разновозрастных посетителей парка, и позволяет получить представление о ценности и уникальности территории ООПТ.

Residents of large cities rarely come into contact with nature, which is why the development of recreation in megapolises like St. Petersburg is an extremely urgent topic. Green areas that are used by citizens for recreation are parks and protected areas within the metropolis. In this regard, it is necessary to develop projects on territories of protected areas in order to help combine the environmental function with the recreational one. For one of the protected areas of St. Petersburg — Elagin Island — was developed a route design that allows visitors to get acquainted with the most important natural and cultural sites in this protected area. The route includes eight information stands and a tour, designed for visitors of different ages, which provides an idea of the value and uniqueness of this territory.
