Cartographic basis for the reconstruction of Leningrad region soil cover before the anthropogenic period

Abstract

Совместно с почвенным музеем им. В.В. Докучаева была создана карта реконструкции почвенного покрова Ленинградской области для анализа изменения почвенного покрова в результате деятельности человека и изменения качества выполнения почвами своих функций. Почвенная карта реконструкции, созданная в масштабе 1:200 000 отражает состояние почв и почвенного покрова территории области на конец первого тысячелетия, то есть до начала активного сельскохозяйственного освоения земель, проведения осушительных мероприятий, прокладки дорог, строительства городов и поселков. Карта реконструкции создавалась на основе современной почвенной карты Ленинградской области, в программном обеспечении QGis.

During the cooperative research, done with the soil museum of V.V. Dokuchaev, was created a map of reconstructed soil cover of the Leningrad Region. The purpose of the map is to help to analyze changes in the soil cover and changes in the quality of soil functions as a result of human activity. The soil map of the region, created in a scale of 1: 200,000, reflects the state of the soil and soil cover of the region at the end of the first millennium (before the beginning of active agricultural land development, the implementation of drainage measures, the laying of roads, and the construction of cities and towns). The reconstruction map is based on the modern soil map of the Leningrad Region, and made in the QGis software.
