Late-glacial deposits in the Shamoksha and Shotkusa river basins (south-eastern Priladozhie)

Abstract

В данной работе рассматривается позднеледниковая история юго-восточного Приладожья, основные палеогидрологические события, этапы дегляциации района, дается описание опорных разрезов в бассейнах рек Шоткуса, Шамокша и Свирь с подробной фотодокументацией, проводится их корреляция по литостратиграфическим и геохронологическим данным. Особое внимание уделяется стратиграфическим уровням с разнообразными деформационными текстурами. В заключение на основании изученного материала автором сделаны выводы по ключевым событиям палеогидрологической истории района, а также генезису деформационных текстур.

In this paper the late-glacial history of the southeastern Ladoga area, the main paleohydrological events, the stages of the deglaciation of the area are considered, the key sections of the Shotkusa, Shamoksha and Svir river basins with detailed photo documentation are described and the correlation according to lithostratigraphic and geochronological data is made. Particular attention is paid to the stratigraphic levels with a variety of deformational structures. In conclusion in virtue of studied material the author draws conclusions about key events of the paleohydrological history of the area and the genesis of deformational structures.
