Two-dimensional non-stationary self-similar gas flows beyond the front of a strong shock wave

Abstract

This manual is devoted to the construction of approximate analytical solutions to the complex nonlinear problem of the gas motion behind the front of a strong shock wave. To obtain an approximate analytical solution, the thin shock layer method is used. Since in this case, in the Euler variables, the flow region in the physical plane degenerates into the space of a smaller number of dimensions at the passage to the limit, Lagrange variables are used to construct an approximate analytical solution. The manual presents the application of the thin shock layer method for solving a system of equations that describes unsteady self-similar gas flows behind the front of a strong shock wave in the Lagrange variables. The system of equations is transformed to a form more convenient for applying the indicated method as one of the variants of the small parameter method. As an example, we consider the problem of elliptical piston expanding with a large supersonic speed. The manual is intended for senior students, masters and graduate students in the mechanical departments of universities and technical universities.

Настоящее пособие посвящено построению приближенных аналитических решений сложной нелинейной задачи о движении газа за фронтом сильной ударной волны. Для получения приближенного аналитического решения применяется метод тонкого ударного слоя. Так как в этом случае в переменных Эйлера при предельном переходе область течения в физической плоскости вырождается в пространство меньшего числа измерений, то для построения приближенного аналитического решения используются переменные Лагранжа. В пособии излагается схема применения метода тонкого ударного слоя для решения системы уравнений, описывающей в переменных Лагранжа нестационарные автомодельные течения газа за фронтом сильной ударной волны. Система уравнений преобразовывается к виду более удобному для применения указанного метода как одного из вариантов метода малого параметра. В качестве примера рассматривается задача о расширении эллиптического поршня с большой сверхзвуковой скоростью. Пособие предназначено для студентов старших курсов, магистров и аспирантов механических отделений университетов и технических вузов.
