Behaviour patterns of the ice regime of the average rivers in the Arctic zone of Siberia under conditions of climate change

Abstract

Работа посвящена оценке изменений различных характеристик ледового режима средних рек Арктической зоны Сибири в условиях изменения климата. В качестве характеристик ледового режима рассматривались продолжительность ледостава, максимальная толщина ледового покрова, даты первой подвижки льда, очищения, устойчивых ледовых явлений и начала ледохода. Методика исследований заключалась в анализе однородности многолетних рядов наблюдений по критерию Стьюдента, выявлении трендовых составляющих во временных рядах за период нестационарной климатической ситуации (1980-2010 гг.), сопоставлении средних значений временных рядов за два выделенных периода (до и после 1980 г.) и получении суммарных количественных значений изменений различных характеристик ледового режима рек за второй период о сравнению с предыдущим (1950-1979 гг.). Установлены значимые корреляционные связи между суммами среднемесячных температур воздуха за холодный период, а также максимальной толщиной льда и продолжительностью ледостава.

The work is about the assessment of changes in various ice regime characteristics of the Arctic zone middle rivers in Siberia region under conditions of climate changes. As the characteristics of the ice regime has been taken: the duration of freeze-up, the maximum thickness of the ice cover, the dates of the first ice movement, the cleansing, the stable ice phenomena and the beginning of the ice drift. The research method consisted of analyzing the homogeneity of the long-term series of observations by the Student's criterion, the identification of trend components in time series for the period of the unsteable climate situation (1980-2010), the comparison of the mean values ​​of time series for two selected periods (before and after 1980) and obtaining total quantitative values ​​of changes in different characteristics of the river's ice regime during the second period compared to the previous one (1950-1979). Significant correlation relationships were established between the sums of mean monthly air temperatures over the cold period, as well as the maximum ice thickness and the duration of freeze-up.
