The image of the Soviet Russia in the migrants’ newspaper Rul

Abstract

Актуальность исследования. Когда стоит вопрос о разобщённости русского народа, важно понимать особенности взаимоотношений российского общества и русской диаспоры за рубежом. В прошлом году страна отпраздновала столетие Февральской и Октябрьской революций, в этом году – юбилей начала Гражданской войны. Объективно оценивать их последствия, в том числе и их влияние на современную действительность, невозможно без понимания мыслей как большевиков, пришедших власти, так и их политических и идейных оппонентов, оказавшихся в эмиграции. Актуальность подчеркивает тот факт, что в повестке дня современных эмигрантских СМИ Германии присутствуют материалы об этих событиях. Новизна исследования. Отдельные аспекты содержательно-тематической модели периодики первой волны русской эмиграции, даже из числа ведущих (к которым относится и газета «Руль»), до сих пор нуждаются в более пристальном рассмотрении и уточнении. Это важно для понимания логики мышления эмигрантов – как в прошлом, так и в настоящем. Цель работы – выяснить, какой образ Советской России и какими средствами формировала у читателей редакция газеты «Руль». В соответствии с поставленной целью в работе решаются следующие задачи: 1) при помощи метода типологизации изучить характерные особенности изданий первой волны русской эмиграции (1920-х –1940-х гг.); 2) определить феномен «Русского Берлина»: описать условия существования эмигрантской прессы в Германии; 3) выяснить, какими факторами определялись направление, содержание и состав редакции берлинского издания «Руль»; 4) провести содержательный анализ публикаций газеты «Руль»; 5) определить повестку дня современных эмигрантских СМИ Германии, описать характер материалов о русской революции 1917 года и Гражданской войне. Объектом дипломной работы послужили общественно-политические условия возникновения и существования эмигрантской прессы 1920-х – начала 1930-х годов. Предметом стала идейно-тематическая направленность материалов, рассказывающих о жизни Советской России, опубликованных в газете «Руль». Теоретическую базу исследования составили работы Азарова Ю. А., Антоненко Н. В., Жиркова Г. В., Зверева А. М., Кувшинова В. А., Петрусенко Н. В., Поповой С. В., Хариной Н. А., Цфасман А. Б., Чистякова К. А.. В качестве эмпирической базы были рассмотрены номера газет, отражающих возникновение и закат издания (ноябрь 1920 – март 1921; сентябрь – октябрь 1931 годов), полемику внутри кадетской партии (июль – сентябрь 1921 года, ноябрь 1921 – январь 1922 года), убийство одного из редакторов, В. Д. Набокова (март – апрель 1922 года). Структура работы. Выпускная квалификационная работа состоит из введения, трёх глав, заключения и списка использованной литературы.

Thematic justification: when question about dissociation of Russians arises, it’s important to understand the specifics of relationship between Russian society and Russian expat community abroad. Last year the country celebrated centennial of the February and the October Revolutions, this year is the anniversary of the Civil War. It’s impossible to evaluate their consequences objectively without understanding the way of thinking both of Bolsheviks who came to power and their political and ideological opponents caught up in emigration. The topic’s relevancy is also proved by the fact that there are articles about these events on the agenda of modern migrants’ media in Germany. Scientific novelty of the study lies in fact that separate aspects of the content-thematic model of the first wave of Russian migrants’ press, even among the leading ones (which include the newspaper “Rul”) are still needed to be closer scrutinized and refined. This is important for understanding the way of thinking of the migrants, both in the past and modern ones. Study objective is to find out what image of Soviet Russia (and using which tools) the editorial staff of the newspaper “Rul” was forming among readers. In order to reach objective, this work covers following problems: 1) to study the characteristic features of the articles from the first wave of Russian emigration (1920s -1940s), using the typological method; 2) to determine the phenomenon of “Russian Berlin”: to describe the conditions for existence of the migrants’ press in Germany; 3) to find out what factors determined the direction and the content of articles in “Rul” and its editorial staff; 4) to conduct a content analysis of the articles in the newspaper “Rul”; 5) to determine the agenda of the modern migrants’ media in Germany, to describe the nature of articles about the Russian Revolution, 1917 and the Civil War. Study object is the socio-political conditions, which caused the emergence and existence of the migrants’ press in the 1920s and early 1930s. Study subject is the ideological and thematic focus on articles about life in the Soviet Russia, published in the newspaper “Rul”. Theoretical background: studies of Y. A. Azarov, N. V. Antonenko, G. V. Zhirkov, A. M. Zverev, V. A. Kuvshinov, N. V. Petrusenko, S. V. Popova, N. A. Kharina, A. B. Tsfasman, K. A. Chistyakov. Empiric background: editions of “Rul” in the origin and decline of the newspaper (November 1920 – March 1921, September – October 1931), editions which covered the polemics within the Constitutional Democratic Party (July – September 1921, November 1921– January 1922) and the murder of one of the editors, V. D. Nabokov (March – April 1922). Work structure. Graduate qualification work consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusion and list of references.
