The Contemporary Ballet as an Integral Text: A Case Study of Creative Work of German Choreographer John Neumeier

Abstract

В выпускной квалификационной работе бакалавра ФИО анализируется феномен современного балета как интегрального текста, его основные характеристики и задачи, а также исследуется его семиотическая и интертекстуальная структура. Рассматривается проблематика смыслопроизводства в контексте сценического спектакля, требующего активной коммуникации между текстом балета, реципиентом и сценическим пространством. Описываются основные условия существования балетного произведения как интегрального текста. В качестве иллюстративного материала анализируются спектакли немецкого хореографа Джона Ноймайера.

The thesis analyzes the phenomenon of contemporary ballet as Integral text, its main characteristics and tasks, as well as its semiotic and intertextual structure. The issues of sense-creation in the context of a stage performance that requires active communication between the text of the ballet, the audience and the stage space is considered separately. The basic conditions for the existence of a ballet piece as Integral text are described. The performances of the German choreographer John Neumeier are analyzed as an illustrative material.
