The issue of independent Kurdistan: Russian and US attitude towards it

Abstract

Тема данной дипломной работы – “Проблема независимости Курдистана: отношение России и США”. Объектом работы является борьба Курдистана за независимость. Предметом выступает отношение России и Соединенных Штатов Америки к данному вопросу. Данная выпускная квалификационная работа состоит из введения, четырех глав и заключения. Во введении приведена краткая историческая справка, указывается объект, предмет исследования и использованные методы, формулируются цели и задачи, подтверждается актуальность работы, а также дана характеритика использованным источникам и литературе. Первая глава посвящена истории борьбы иракских курдов за автономию и позиции США. Во второй главе исследуются события Арабской весны и референдума о независимости Курдистана 25 сентября 2017 года. Третья и четвертая главы разъясняют позицию США и России по отношению к курдской независимости. Заключение содержит основные выводы.

The theme of this thesis is "The issue of independent Kurdistan: Russian and US attitude towards it". The object of this thesis is the Kurdistan struggle for independence. The subject is Russian and US attitude to this issue. This research includes an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, a brief historical reference is provided, also the object and the subject of research, the methods used, the goals and tasks are formulated, the relevance of this work is confirmed, and also the sources and literature used is characterized. The first chapter is devoted to the history of the struggle of Iraqi Kurds for autonomy and the position of the United States. The second chapter examines the events of the Arab Spring and the referendum on the Kurdish independence on September 25, 2017. The third and fourth chapters explain the position of the US and Russia in relation to the Kurdish independence. The conclusion contains the main findings.
