Integrated Reporting: International Experience and its implementation in Russia

Abstract

В последнее время к компаниям по всему миру предъявляется все больше требований к объему и качеству раскрываемой ими информации. Эти требования исходят от достаточно широкого круга сторон, заинтересованных в результатах деятельности компании (так называемых стейкхолдеров). Государство, инвесторы, кредиторы, потребители и другие стейкхолдеры имеют свои потребности, для удовлетворения которых организациям необходимо публиковать различные финансовые и нефинансовые отчеты. Появление такого инновационного вида отчетности как интегрированная отчетность может облегчить для компании процесс раскрытия запрашиваемой информации. С момента издания Международного стандарта интегрированной отчетности прошло не так много времени. Из-за отсутствия достаточного опыта, у зарубежных и российских компаний остаются вопросы касательно правильного применения стандарта на практике. Поэтому цель данной выпускной работы заключается в анализе существующего зарубежного и российского опыта реализации идеи интегрированной отчетности. Для реализации данной цели потребовалось решить следующие исследовательские задачи: 1. Определить предпосылки появления интегрированной отчетности; 2. Зафиксировать основные этапы на пути к появлению и развитию идеи интегрированной отчетности; 3. Определить особенности опыта применения интегрированной отчетности в зарубежных странах; 4. Провести сравнительный анализ интегрированных отчетов зарубежных компаний; 5. Определить национальные особенности российского опыта применения интегрированной отчетности и недостатки интегрированных отчетов российских компаний; 6. Сравнить российский и зарубежный опыт составления интегрированной отчетности на примере компаний энергетической отрасли. Объектом исследования является система публичной отчетности организаций. Предметом исследования выступает инновационная модель публичной отчетности – интегрированная отчетность. По результатам исследования было получено представление о развитости интегрированной отчетности в России и зарубежных странах и понимании компаниями идеи интеграции различных данных в один отчет. Были сделаны рекомендации по улучшению представления информации в интегрированном отчете.

In recent years, companies around the world are being increasingly demanded in terms of information they disclose. These requirements come from a fairly wide range of parties interested in the results of the company's activities (so-called stakeholders). The state, investors, creditors, consumers and other stakeholders have their own needs, to meet which organizations need to publish various financial and non-financial reports. The appearance of such an innovative type of reporting as integrated reporting can facilitate the process of disclosure of the requested information for the company. Not much time has passed since the publication of the international IR standard. Due to the lack of sufficient experience, foreign and Russian companies still have questions about the correct application of the standard in practice. Therefore, the purpose of this diploma work is to analyze the existing foreign and Russian experience of implementing the idea of integrated reporting. To achieve this goal it was necessary to solve the following research tasks: 1. Determine the prerequisites for the emergence of integrated reporting; 2. To fix the main stages on the way to the emergence and development of the idea of integrated reporting; 3. To determine the features of the experience of integrated reporting in foreign countries; 4. To conduct a comparative analysis of the integrated reports of foreign companies; 5. Identify national peculiarities of Russian experience in the application of integrated reporting and shortcomings of integrated reports of Russian companies; 6. To compare Russian and foreign experience of preparation of integrated reporting in the sample companies from the energy sector. The object of the research is the system of public reporting of organizations. The subject of the research is the innovative model of public reporting-integrated reporting. Based on the results of the study, the authors obtained an idea of the development of integrated reporting in Russia and foreign countries and companies ' understanding of the idea of integrating different data into one report. Recommendations were made to improve the presentation of information in the integrated report.
