The first Russian professional philosophical journal Questions of Philosophy and Psychology published from 1889 to 1918

Abstract

Дипломная работа посвящена первому русскому философскому журналу «Вопросы философии и психологии», основанному в 1889 году при Московском психологическом обществе. Актуальность работы определяется, во-первых, соотнесением переломных этапов в развитии философии XIX века и современным этапом (потеря философского дискурса). Во-вторых, активной разработкой вопроса о профессиональной философии в России в научной литературе. В-третьих, интересом к рубежу XIX-XX веков в свете столетия Великой революции. В четвертых, «Вопросы философии и психологии» еще не заняли твердо свое место в работах по истории русской журналистики и особенно истории научной прессы. Журнал «Вопросы философии и психологии» часто привлекается как источник материалов по истории русской философии. Серьезно о степени разработанности темы можно говорить только с начала XXI века, когда журнал стал объектом исследования для трех диссертационных работ: Р.Я. Шляпугиной, Н.Ю. Щеки, О.В. Закутняи. Также вопрос о журнале поднят в статьях А.А. Ермичева, М.А. Маслина, работах А.Л. Семеновой, А.Т. Павлова, Н.А. Куценко, воспоминаниях современников Н.Я. Грота. В данных исследованиях «Вопросы» рассматриваются преимущественно с содержательно-концептуальной стороны. Между тем генезис необычного для XIX века смешанного типа издания не показан. В работе впервые предпринята попытка объяснить историческую обусловленность типологической модели «Вопросов». Этим объясняется новизна дипломной работы. Объект дипломной работы – журнал «Вопросы философии и психологии» в историко-философском контексте. Ее предмет – типологическое своеобразие журнала. Теоретическую базу исследования составили труды по русской философии В.В. Зеньковского, Г.В. Флоровского, Г.Г. Шпета, Н.О. Лосского, а также сочинениями русских философов Н.Я. Грота, В.С. Соловьева, Н.А. Бердяева, И.А. Ильина, А.Ф. Лосева. Эмпирической базой работы послужили номера журнала «Вопросы философии и психологии» с 1889 года по 1918 год (выборка сплошная). Началом выхода журнала и годом его закрытия обусловлены хронологические рамки исследования. Особое внимание мы уделили статьям философским. Специальный интерес для нас представили программные и философские статьи главного редактора Н.Я. Грота. Цель работы – показать влияние общественно-философской традиции на формирование смешанного типа журнала «Вопросы философии и психологии». Для достижения поставленной цели необходимо выполнить ряд задач: 1) Определить отличие профессиональной философской прессы от «любительской» философской публицистики. 2) Охарактеризовать состояние философского знания в последней трети XIX века в России. 3) Показать истоки философской прессы в российской журналистике. 4) Объяснить программу журнала и обозреть современные взгляды на его концепцию. 5) Описать жанрово-тематическое разнообразие «Вопросов философии и психологии» и их типологическую модель. 6) Обобщить итоги исследования и определить его потенциал. Поставленные задачи определили совокупность методов исследования: историко-генетического, историко-типологического, дискурсивного, биографического, герменевтического. Дипломная работа состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения и приложений. Во Введении мы определяем цель и задачи работы. В Первой главе мы приходим к выводу, что концепция «Вопросов философии и психологии» глубоко связаны с историко-философским контекстом периода, традицией философской прессы в России, биографией и воззрениями главного редактора. Во Второй главе мы показываем программу журнала и анализируем его смешанный тип. При описании типологической модели журнала мы приходим к выводу, что это единственно возможный тип для профессиональной прессы в это время. В Заключении подводятся итоги исследования. Раздел Приложение содержит дополнительные материалы.

The work is dedicated to the first Russian philosophical journal "Questions of Philosophy and Psychology", founded in 1889 under the Moscow Psychological Society. The relevance of the work is determined, first, by the correlation of the turning points in the development of the philosophy of the XIX century and the present stage (the loss of philosophical discourse). Secondly, the active development of the question of professional philosophy in Russia in the scientific literature. Third, interest in the turn of the XIX-XX centuries in the light of the century of the Great Revolution. Fourthly, The Questions of Philosophy and Psychology have not yet firmly taken their place in the works on the history of Russian journalism, and especially the history of the scientific press. The journal “Questions of Philosophy and Psychology” is often used as a source of materials on the history of Russian philosophy. Seriously about the degree of development of the topic can be said only from the beginning of the XXI century, when the magazine became the object of research for three dissertations: R.Ya. Shlyapugina, N.Yu. Shcheky, O.V. Zakutnyanyi. Also, the issue of the journal was raised in the articles of AA. Ermichev, M.A. Maslin, the works of A.L. Semenova, A.T. Pavlov, N.A. Kutsenko, the memoirs of contemporaries N.J. Groth. In these studies, "Questions" are mainly considered from the content-conceptual side. Meanwhile, the genesis of a mixed edition of the XIX century is not shown. The work is the first attempt to explain the historical conditionality of the typological model of "Questions". This explains the novelty of the work. The subject of the study is the journal "Questions of Philosophy and Psychology" in the historical and philosophical context. It’s object is the typological originality of the journal. The theoretical basis of the research was the works on Russian philosophy V.V. Zenkovsky, G.V. Florovsky, G.G. Shpet, N.O. Lossky, as well as the works of Russian philosophers N.J. Groth, V.S. Solovyov, N.A. Berdyaev, I.A. Il'in, A.F. Losev. The empirical base of the work was the issues of the journal "Questions of Philosophy and Psychology" from 1889 to 1918. The beginning of the journal's release and the year of its closure are determined by the chronological scope of the study. We paid special attention to the philosophical articles. Special interest for us was presented by the programmatic and philosophical articles of the editor-in-chief N.Ya. Grotto. The purpose of the study is to show the influence of the socio-philosophical tradition on the formation of a mixed type of the journal "Questions of Philosophy and Psychology". To achieve this goal, it is necessary to perform a number of tasks: 1) Determine the difference between professional philosophical press and "amateur" philosophical journalism. 2) Describe the state of philosophical knowledge in the last third of the XIX century in Russia. 3) Show the origins of the philosophical press in Russian journalism. 4) Explain the program of the magazine and review the modern views on its concept. 5) Describe the genre-thematic variety of "Questions of Philosophy and Psychology" and their typological model. 6) Summarize the results of the study and determine its potential. The set tasks determined the set of methods of investigation: historical-genetic, historical-typological, discursive, biographical, hermeneutic. The thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, conclusion and applications. In the Introduction, we define the purpose and objectives of the work. In the First Chapter we come to the conclusion that the concept of "The Questions of Philosophy and Psychology" is deeply connected with the historical and philosophical context of the period, the tradition of the philosophical press in Russia, the biography and the views of the editor-in-chief. In the Second chapter, we show the program of the journal and analyze its mixed type. In describing the typological model of the journal, we come to the conclusion that this is the only possible type for the professional press at this time. The Conclusion summarizes the results of the study. Section The appendix contains additional materials.
