Influences of talent management practices on sustainable competitive advantages of emerging market firms: evidence from Russian companies

Abstract

The study is aimed at proving the influence of talent management practices on sustainable competitive advantages of internationalized Russian firms. Exploratory analysis was conducted to analyze academic literature on main methods and theories of sustainable competitive advantages, sources of their creation and development; as well concepts of a talent and talent management in the different contexts: general, emerging market firms and Russian companies working abroad. A survey was developed for the collection of data for the empirical analysis and verification of assumption of the existing influence of talent management practices on sustainable competitive advantages. The results showed positive dependence, and the further analysis relying on the data from respondents defined several single practices which have greater impact on sustainable competitive advantages of Russian companies.
