The Influence of Mediator’s Personality on the Mediation Process

Abstract

Актуальность темы исследования обусловлена тем, что с увеличением востребованности медиации как альтернативного способа урегулирования конфликта, более значимым становится вопрос о личностных характеристиках медиатора, чья непосредственная работа напрямую влияет на эффективность процесса по разрешению конфликтных ситуаций. Так как, если технология медиации является исследованным процессом и успешно апробированным на множестве конфликтных ситуаций, то вопрос о личностных качествах медиатора остаётся открытым и требует более детального изучения. Объём и структура работы обусловлена количеством информации по исследуемой теме и последовательностью её изучения, которая состоит из введения, содержания, трёх глав, заключения, выводов и приложения. Во введении описана актуальность, разработанность и новизна темы исследования. Определена цель и приоритетные задачи, а также предмет, объект, гипотеза и методики исследования. Также обусловлена теоретическая и практическая значимость работы. В первой главе проанализирован теоретический аспект влияния личностных характеристик медиатора как на процесс медиации в целом, так и на каждой стадии в частности. Во второй главе рассматривается вопрос формирования профессиональных компетенций во взаимосвязи с полученным профессиональным опытом до начала медиативной практики. В третьей главе приведены результаты исследования личностных свойств и качеств медиатора, а также степень их влияния на процесс медиации в целом. В заключении обозначены основные результаты проведенного исследования, сформулированы выводы.

The relevance of the topic of the study depends on the increasing demand for mediation as an alternative way to settle the conflict. In this case, the personal characteristics of the mediator become more significant, which direct work affects directly effectiveness of the process of resolving conflict situations. Since the mediation technology is the process thoroughly investigated and successfully tested on the various conflict situations, the issue of the personal characteristics of the mediator is still acute and demands more detailed study. Size and structure of the work is due to the amount of information on the study subject and consistency of its analysis. The study consists of introduction, content, three chapters, conclusion, observations and annexes. In the introduction part is described the relevance, elaboration and novelty of the subject. Also defined the objective of the study and priority problems, subject, object, hypothesis and research methodologies. The theoretical and practical importance is also reflected in this part. The first chapter is an analysis of the influence of the personal characteristics of the mediator, both on the process of mediation in general and at each stage in particular. The second chapter is dedicated to the issue of forming professional competencies in relation to the received professional experience before the beginning of mediator practice. In the third part one can find the results of the research of personal characteristics and qualities of a mediator, and also a degree of their influence on process of mediation as whole. In the conclusion part the main results of the conducted study are marked, observations are formed.
