Child-adult relations in perception of children with mild mental disabilities

Abstract

В исследовании было изучено восприятие подростками с легкой степенью умственной отсталости детско-родительских и внутрисемейных отношений. В исследование приняли участие 80 подростков: 40 подростков с лёгкой степенью умственной отсталости и 40 подростков с нормальным психофизическим развитием, средний возраст – 14-15 лет. Изучалось: восприятие стилей семейного воспитания (опросник родительского отношения к детям – «зеркало» для АСВ Э.Г. Эйдемиллера, В.В. Юстицкиса), психосемантические аспекты характеристик отношения к родителям, себе и семье (невербальный семантический дифференциал П. Бентлера, А. Лавойе), специфика особенностей межличностных отношений в рамках семьи (методика исследования межличностных отношений по Р. Жилю), эмоциональные характеристики внутрисемейных отношений (цветовой тест отношений А.М. Эткинда), визуальные репрезентация семейных отношений (рисуночный тест «Рисунок семьи» Р. Бернса, С. Кауфмана). Данные обрабатывались с помощью программы SPSS (сравнение средних значений, корреляционный анализ). Результаты: для обеих групп родители являются значимыми фигурами, собственный образ и образ матери воспринимаются позитивно. Существенно отличается восприятие фигуры отца – умственно отсталые подростки воспринимают отца негативно, сила и активность матери, себя и семьи снижены. Для умственно отсталых подростков характерна неудовлетворенность и недовольство отношениями с родителями, в отношениях отмечается дистанция и разрыв. Эмоциональное восприятие фигуры матери и образа семьи у умственно отсталых подростков отличается вариативностью. Семейная ситуация воспринимается как конфликтная и в целом неблагоприятная.

The study deals with the perception of adolescents with mild mental retardation of child-parent and intra-family relationships. 80 adolescents participated in the study: 40 teenagers with mild mental retardation and 40 teenagers with normal psychophysical development, the average age was 14-15 years. The following issues were studied: the perception of the styles of family education (the questionnaire of the parent attitude to children - the "mirror" for the AFR by E.G. Eydemiller, V.V. Yustitskis), the psychosemantic aspects of the characteristics of the relationship with parents, with oneself and the family (the nonverbal semantic differential by P. Bentler, A. La Voie), the specific features of interpersonal relationships within the family (the methodology of investigating interpersonal relations according to R. Gilles), the emotional characteristics of intra-family relations (colour test of relations according by A.M. Etkind), visual representation of family relations (drawing tests "Figure family" by R. Burns, S. Kaufman). The data was processed using the SPSS program (comparison of avarage values, correlation analysis). The results: in both groups parents are significant figures, their own image and mother's image are perceived positively. The perception of the father's figure is significantly different: mentally retarded adolescents perceive the father negatively, the strength and activity of the mother, of himself and of the family are reduced. For mentally retarded teenagers it is typical to be dissatisfied with relations with parents, there is a distance and a gap in the relationship. The emotional perception of the mother's figure and the image of the family in mentally retarded adolescents is variable. The family situation is perceived as conflicting and generally unfavourable.
